NEGRONI driving shoes are designed for long-term wear, and every model is eligible for sole replacement repairs. With Negroni’s All-Sole Repair Service, you can extend the life of your cherished driving shoes and enjoy them for years.

In this guide, we’ll take you through the All-Sole Full Restore Pack, a highly popular service among our customers, with step-by-step images of the repair process.

Step 1: Inspection & Sole Removal

Upon arrival, each pair undergoes a thorough inspection by our expert staff. Even if the sole is heavily worn or the heel has developed a hole, in most cases, repairs are still possible—so you can rest assured. If the upper shows signs of wear, additional repairs such as lining replacement, leather tape restoration, or inner fabric repairs may be recommended. If you're unsure about the condition of your shoes, you can send them in for a pre-repair inspection, and we will suggest the best restoration plan.

Our skilled staff carefully assess each pair. With over 1,000 repairs handled annually, their expertise ensures a precise evaluation.
The upper shows only minor scuffs, but noticeable wear on the leather and sole. We use the original shoe last to restore its shape.

Steam is applied to soften the adhesive at an optimal temperature—judging this correctly requires experience.

The sole, which is firmly attached, cannot be removed easily. It requires careful yet forceful separation to avoid damaging the upper.

Step 2: Core Material Replacement & Re-Lasting

The heel counter and toe box are replaced to restore the original silhouette, which may have lost its shape over years of use. After this, we proceed with the re-lasting process, a critical step requiring the skills of experienced shoemakers. Since every shoe has different levels of wear and leather stretching, this step ensures that each pair is returned as close to its original shape as possible.

The worn fibre heel counter is replaced with a new one.
Changing the counter restores the silhouette.
Once replaced, the heel’s structure is restored.
A heated shaping press is used to refine the heel contour.

Step 3: Reattachment & Colour Refinishing

After re-lasting, the upper is reattached to a brand-new sole, bringing the driving shoes back to life.

The highlight of NEGRONI’s Full Restore Pack & Collectors Pack is the exclusive colour refinishing service. Using a carefully blended mix of dyes and pigments, each pair is given a refreshed and sophisticated look. Once you experience this transformation, you’ll realise that discarding old shoes is simply not an option!

Adhesive is carefully applied to ensure a precise finish.
Before bonding, the adhesion surface is heated to over 90°C.
The new sole is attached—creating a striking contrast between the aged upper and the fresh sole.
The NEGRONI colour refinishing process breathes new life into the shoes, with custom-mixed colours enhancing their beauty.
